We specialise in cylinder head porting and gas flowing, from simple porting to full gas flows which include fitting larger valves, multi-angle seat cutting, re-profiling ports, and valve and guide reshaping.
Our flow bench also allows us to measure air flow through the inlet and exhaust from bellmouth right through to the silencer end can and so identifying restrictions to flow.
This also enables us to produce detailed charts and graphs of air flow and of improvements made.
This graph shows a typical improvement to flow through the inlet.
The blue line shows the flow after port modification at various valve lifts.
The pink line shows the flow at the time the head was received.
This also assists in camshaft choice/design as it shows the validity of greater valve lift or longer duration depending on test results.
This video gives a brief rundown of what is involved in our cylinder head porting work (in this case a Ducati single), showing welding, machining, hand finishing and valve seat cutting.
Beyond flow work we can provide full or part engine building, blueprinting, compression adjustment, machining and so on.
